Producer responsibility for textiles is on the way: VANA is tying up the loose ends for you
New rules for textiles and footwear mean new tasks for many companies. At VANA, we help you get an overview and prepare for the upcoming producer responsibility. You can already pre-register now!
Companies that are among the first to make covered textiles and footwear available on the Danish market will henceforth be responsible for the products when they become waste. This can include manufacturers, importers, brands, private label companies, and webshops. With the responsibility comes requirements for registration, reporting, and payment for collection, sorting, and recycling.
The producer responsibility is expected to enter into force in April 2028, while the first reports are expected as early as the autumn of 2027. The Danish regulations are still under development, but you can already start preparing.
