VANA is established for businesses by businesses
VANA A/S is founded and owned by Denmark's largest industry and business organisations, whose members account for approximately 80% of the companies covered by producer responsibility for packaging and cover all sectors.
Dansk Industri, Landbrug & Fødevarer, Dansk Erhverv and DagSam established VANA in 2021 to assist Danish companies in fulfilling the extended producer responsibility in an environmentally correct, administratively simple, and cost-effective manner.
What does "VANA" stand for?
VANA is derived from Vanaheim - one of the nine worlds known from Norse mythology, which is said to exist after Ragnarok, and to which the Aesir will return.
In the same way, VANA works to ensure that our world endures: We promote environmentally friendly packaging by keeping resources in circulation for as long as possible.
