VANA was founded in a collaboration between Danish Agriculture & Food Council, DagSam, the Danish Chamber of Commerce and Danish Industry to make it as easy and cheap as possible for Danish companies to comply with the producer responsibility for packaging. The more we are, the lower the price will be for the handling of your packaging waste.

The 4 strong trade associations anchor VANA broadly among their respective members, which covers approximately 80% of the companies affected by the producer responsibility on packaging.
Therefore, our founders also actively support VANA as a not-for-profit producer responsibility organisation (PRO) that can fulfil the legal, financial, and practical obligations of the Danish producers and importers regarding the extended producer responsibility on packaging in Denmark.
