VANA's Q4 prices are ready
Since there is now clarification about VANA's prices, we have communicated this to our members.
If you as a member have missed this, you can read more about the prices here! In connection with the announcement about prices, we have held two well-attended webinars with a lot of questions from the participants. Many questions concern the large difference from the Environmental Protection Agency's estimated figures from 2021 (the COWI report). And we can really understand that!
The difference is due to the municipalities' reported fees being significantly higher than anticipated, while the companies' reported quantities of household packaging are significantly lower than expected. This means that a larger volume is expected to be unreported but is included in the prices (the so-called free rider problem).
As Dansk Producentansvar (DPA) has still not made a decision regarding the amount of the guarantee that all producer responsibility organisations must provide by September 3rd at the latest, we unfortunately cannot yet say whether it will be necessary for VANA's members to provide a guarantee or make advance payments. VANA is working hard to ensure that this does not become necessary.
