Guidance on eco-modulated fees - updated and now in English version
The Danish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has just published a new version of the guidelines on determining and calculating the eco-modulated fees according to the statutory order on packaging. At the same time, the guidelines have been translated into English.
Among the notable changes is the introduction of a note in the decision tree and in figure 4, which clarifies the exception for glass containers with metal lids.
In section 3.3.1, a linguistic adjustment has been made where the word "level" has been replaced with "criterion," so the text now reads: "If the packaging meets ALL the criteria in yellow level, the packaging is categorised accordingly. If there is just one criterion that the packaging cannot meet, the packaging is categorised in red level."
Another significant addition is the reference to the EuPIA list for printing inks, which is a list of excluded raw materials from printing inks and related products. It now appears in both the general text and in the appendices on material categories.
The update also includes a number of smaller editorial changes, as well as the insertion of active links in the document that allow for easy navigation to various references within the document.
