Allocation of municipalities to PRO's

VANA follows the packaging waste throughout its journey - also in your municipality!

Dansk Producentansvar (DPA) calculates each year how the quantities of packaging waste should be distributed among companies, and thus which municipalities and packaging fractions the producer responsibility organisations receive. The distribution is based, among other things, on market shares, and VANA has, as the country's largest collective organisation, been allocated one or more packaging fractions in all of the country's 98 municipalities.

Since this is the first time that allocation occurs in the packaging area, the allocation is based on the expected quantities made available, which companies had registered by October 15, 2024. The allocation applies from October 1, 2025, when producer responsibility practically enters into force, until December 31, 2026.

DPA will publish the allocation for 2027 based on actual quantities made available in October 2026.
